Menagwins Court is a modern development of properties set within a courtyard layout. Designed in the local Cornish style and constructed and finished to an extremely high specification with Cornish stone walls and natural slate roofs. All the cottage is furnished to a high standard and has under floor heating and double glazing throughout.

On the first floor the cottage has one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with twin beds. Each bedroom is furnished and includes a radio alarm clock.
There is also a bed settee in the lounge to accommodate a 5th and 6th person at additional cost. All pillows, duvets, bed linen and towels are provided. The bathroom is finished to a high standard with toilet, bath, separate shower and wash basin.

There is parking for one car, with parking for a second car by arrangement. A storage shed for bikes is also available by prior arrangement.
Menagwins Court is located in the small village of Gorran, which offers a store/sub post office, public house and beautiful Norman church.
Gorran Haven is just one mile away and provides a harbour and beach. The safe and sandy beach of Caerhayes with its castle, still maintained as a private home, is just 4 miles away and the attractive harbour village of Mevagissey with numerous restaurants and pubs is just 6½ miles away. St Austell, the nearest large town is some 10 miles distant and provides a much larger range of shops, supermarkets, 10 pin bowling and leisure centre.
There are outstanding stretches of coastal paths and inland areas of beauty and heritage to explore.
Cornwall is a beautiful place to explore at any time of the year, especially in the Spring with country lanes abundant in colourful wild flowers and the National Trust and other large gardens are at their best with magnificent magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias. The Lost Gardens of Heligan is just 4 miles away and the world famous Eden Project with its gigantic biomes offering a fascinating insight into the world of plant life is 14 miles away. |

Known locally as “Snozzle”, St Austell is situated at the centre of the Cornish Riviera, and as such is the perfect base for exploring the delights of many of Cornwall’s treasures. The white peaks of the china clay industry overlook this market town, which dates back to the 13th century. Today the shopping centre also offers a cinema, restaurants, cafes and a selection of retail outlets.
The golden sandy beaches of St Austell and Mevagissey bays are a haven for water sports, while the beautiful Georgian town of Charlestown is just a mile away. The suntraps of Portmellon and Gorran Haven are within easy reach, along with Caerhayes Castle, the inland castle of Restormel and the River Fowey, and slightly further afield, the world-famous Eden Project and Heligan Gardens.
St Austell also benefits from being just 10 miles south of the desolate expanses of Bodmin Moor, with its granite tors and scenic walking opportunities.
Transport: Trains on the main Penzance line stop at St Austell station in the centre of town. Most buses, connecting St Austell with other towns, stop here too. National Express coach services call here, a dedicated link operates to the Eden Project, and local buses operate to villages such as Fowey and Mevagissey. The town can be accessed by the A390 which by-passes the town to the south on its way from Liskeard to Truro, or by the A391 from Bodmin, or by the A3058 from Newquay. In addition there are the B3273 to Mevagissey, the B3274 to Padstow and the A3082 to Fowey.
